Collaborations

Joe has been a trusted and beloved collaborator to many fellow Austinite artists ever since moving to the city in 2009. His uniquely playful approach to creativity combined with his expertise in songwriting, music theory, guitar performance and production have made him a regularly sought collaborator for a variety Austin-based musical projects, both in studio and live.

Below are some samples from Joe’s past and ongoing collaborations.

DREAM 2 DREAM

Joe is frequently a contributing songwriter, studio and live guitarist for the Austin-based darkwave/synth pop group Dream 2 Dream. Here is one of the songs he has collaborated on.

Riders Against the Storm

Joe was asked to collaborate with Austin hip-hop legends Riders Against The Storm for this remix/tribute to “Once In A Lifetime” by Talking Heads. Joe sang the hook and appeared in this music video.

THE BLACK AND WHITE YEARS

Joe served as the lead guitarist for the Austin-based band The Black And White Years for a few years, also making a couple remixes for them. Here is Joe playing with them at South By Southwest in 2019.

KADY RAIN

Joe is often brought in as a contributing co-songwriter and guitarist for Austin TX pop queen Kady Rain. Here is one of their songwriting collaborations.

FREE PEOPLE

The videographer for this piece contracted Joe for some music that could accompany the fashion models. Joe wrote and produced the original track for this clip, entitled “I Want The Real Thing.”

ROAR F1

Joe wrote & produced the original tune “Playtime” for this fashion related piece also involving F1 race cars.

THE VISITORS

Joe wrote the musical score for this short film by local filmmaker Trey Hill.
